Welcome to the photo index page. From here you can view pictures of diverse subjects that I have photographed over the last 15 or so years. My main interests are landscapes, seascapes, flowers, and wildlife. There is an inherent beauty in the natural wonders that surround us. It can be seen in a tiny flower blooming on a moss, a drop of rain water hanging from the end of a twig, or a canyon landscape that stretches for as far as the eye can see. There is beauty in the patterns laid on the sand of the seashore by an oceans waves and in the waves themselves as they crash on the shore when pushed forward on a storm or when they roll gently across the beach when the air is still. As in the poem "Life Within a Flower" , there is beauty to be seen by those that take time to look. A beauty that can warm the heart on a cold day or lift a persons spirits when spirits are low. I look for that beauty and try to capture it on film. I can then pass it on for others to see and hope it brings them the joy it brings me.
The ground in many southwestern parks has a fragile surface that takes many years to recover when disturbed by passersby. Help protect this surface condition by staying on trails. The surface appears as a crust as shown in the picture to the left, it is the gray green area in front of the cactus.
