Grand Canyon National Park,
        Views from the North Rim
The great canyon is there for all to enjoy. From the four overlooks the cloud studded sky stretches to the horizon above the beautiful sculpted and colorful canyon.
Early in our history this was thought to be worthless real estate, not good for anything but the minerals that might possibly be hidden in the rock.
Now it is known the world over and is one of the wonders of the world and of this country.
One of the overlooks, at the top left of the rock with the arch, and the path leading from it.
On this day there was a controlled burn under way on the south rim to remove forest debris and lessen the chance of dangerous fires. Even with that haze the view is hardly diminished.
